This song was one of my favorite pieces of the Cool Kids ‘Gone Fishing’ mixtape with Don Cannon and I love watching a good skate video, too bad this is in-line not skateboarding, so this was a perfect match for me. I actually think getting a song placed in a skate video is one of the cooler things that can happen for an artist because it can definitely broaden your appeal beyond the typical hip-hop demographic. Now lets see if we can get some new material from the Cool Kids soon.
New Single From KIDZ IN THE HALL. My partners Naledge and Double 0 unleash their newest single on the world today via KIDZINTHEHALL.COM. You can preview the track there, where you can also click the image and purchase it on iTunes. The new album Land of Make Believe is in stores October 13th, 2009.
I have decided that since I have been such an awful host lately I would provide you all with party favors. This is by no means new, and actually was around in 2001, well before the official US version released in 2002. Same songs, just a slightly different spin. Skits are included in this as well as an interesting interlude following “Tape You” which features a nasty beat. The skits are centered around N*E*R*D member Shay and his groupie adventures. You will notice missing instruments, added sounds, and slightly different vocals as well. I enjoy the album for it’s differences and hope you will as well.
My bad… I’ve been slacking again… But the King has had a hectic past three weeks. I’ve been out of a job, in a car accident, pulled over multiple times, got a speeding ticket, a parking ticket, disowned by my family and lost my wallet in about 20 days time. On top of that I got to kick it with Curren$y the hot spitta for a little less than a week and made a new friend. The blog has been lacking… but I PROMISE YOU, monday July 27th I will be turning this ship around and we will be back to internet tomfoolery domination.
